MealBeacon is an SMS-based AI nutrition coach operated by iPal Media Inc. By texting MealBeacon, you agree to these terms.
Not Medical Advice
MealBeacon provides general nutrition information and coaching. It is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or clinical nutrition advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider or registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, eating disorder, or are pregnant.
Accuracy of Nutrition Data
Calorie and macro estimates are based on AI visual analysis and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Portion sizes, preparation methods, and ingredient variations can significantly affect actual values. MealBeacon is not liable for any health outcomes arising from reliance on nutrition estimates.
Emergencies — Call 911
MealBeacon is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, allergic reaction, or any health crisis, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Do not text MealBeacon in an emergency.
SMS Communications
By using MealBeacon, you consent to receive SMS messages from us, including nutrition analyses, coaching messages, and check-in reminders. Message frequency varies based on your activity and plan. Standard message and data rates may apply. Text STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Text HELP for support.
Subscription and Billing
The free tier is available at no cost with usage limits. Premium features require a paid subscription at the rates listed on our website. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
Acceptable Use
Don't use MealBeacon for anything illegal, harmful, or that violates others' rights. Don't submit automated or bulk requests. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer or abuse the service. Don't provide false health information that could mislead AI recommendations.
Service Availability
MealBeacon is provided on a best-effort basis. We make no guarantees about uptime, nutrition analysis accuracy, or coaching availability. Service depends on third-party AI services outside our control.
Limitation of Liability
MealBeacon is provided “as is.” iPal Media Inc is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to health outcomes, dietary choices, or financial loss. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 3 months, or $10, whichever is greater.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
